Vandan Story

(Kids! Merely keeping upakarans without the feeling of self-restraint is Dravya Chiti, and having them with the feeling of self-restraint is Bhav Chiti.

So, to understand this Dravya Chiti and Bhav Chiti, read this beautiful and enjoyable story.)

There was a great Acharya Bhagwant. He had many disciples.

When the Acharya Bhagwant became old, he gave the ‘Acharya’ post to a young Balmuni and ordered all the disciples to remain in the command of that Balmuni.

The Balmuni was young in age, yet all the Sadhus respected him and served him.

One day, due to his Karma Uday, the Balmuni gets a sinful thought of leaving Diksha and secretly leaves the Upashray and goes towards the jungle.

There, he sees a strange sight. Despite having good and superior trees, the villagers worship the inferior Shami-Peepal tree.
