Khamasaman Sutra

Original Sutra : इच्छामि खमासमणो! वंदिउं जावणिज्जाए निसीहिआए मत्थएण वंदामि।

इच्छामि = I wish. Not out of coercion or embarrassment, but out of my own will, I wish to bow down.

खमासमणो = Oh, ascetic with forgiveness = Gurubhagwant!

खमा = With forgiveness, समणो = Shraman - Gurubhagwant

Endures is Shraman.

वंदिउं = To bow down.

जावणिज्जाए = Asking whether your day/night has passed peacefully; a preface to inquire about well-being.

निसीहिआए = As a preface to ask forgiveness if I have hurt you.

मत्थएण वंदामि = I bow my head (with both hands and both knees) and offer vandan.
