The 6th Patthadhar of Prabhu Veer - Sambhuti Suri
The revered and wise shrut-kevali Sambhuti Suri Maharaj was born into a Brahmin Family. The year was the 66th year of Veer Nirvan. Under the guidance of the 5th Patthadhar, Shri Yashobhadrasuri Maharaj, he understood and began to follow the Jain religion. The time passed.
The young Sambhuti developed a spirit of renunciation. Leaving the worldly life, he took diksha from Pujya Yashodharasuri Maharaj. At the age of 42, the dikshit muni Sambhuti engaged in the study of knowledge and became proficient in the 14 Purvas.
Seeing his capability, Gurudev Shri Yashobhadrasuri Maharaj granted the title of Acharya to him and entrusted him with the leadership of the order. With that, in the year of Veer Nirvana 148, Acharya Shri Sambhutisuri Maharaj became the 6th Patthadhar of Parmatma Mahavir Swami. The glory of the Acharya increased with the support of his disciple family. The respected learned disciple like Pujya Sthulbhadra Swami enhanced the esteem of Pujya Sambhuti Swami by carrying out shasan of Parmatma.
